Keith Cobell
Senior Family Office Advisor

Keith brings to Impact Family Office over two decades of experience guiding families and their enterprises toward greater profitability, efficiency, and impact. As a trusted advisor and executive,  Keith has worked at the intersection of business leadership, philanthropy, and legacy planning, helping families align their wealth with purpose. His diverse career spans executive roles in closely held businesses, management of real estate assets, trust and estate advisory, and leadership in family philanthropy. He has served as a key partner to families committed to building legacies that matter—integrating values into every facet of their ventures.

One of Keith's distinguishing traits is his ability to infuse meaning and purpose into every aspect of his work. While leading a private family foundation, he oversaw operations and grantmaking, awarding over 50 grants annually totaling more than $2.5 million. He also managed a post-doctorate research institute as part of the family’s philanthropic vision. In corporate philanthropy, Keith has led or launched seven foundations across a parent company’s U.S. subsidiaries.

Internationally, Keith led a U.S.-owned manufacturing and export business in Rwanda, scaling it from startup to 330% increase in revenue. Later, as Director of International Investments for a family-owned real estate investment firm, Keith transformed a Belize property into an award-winning jungle lodge in the Mayan Mountain rainforest. Most recently, he serves as President at a construction company and trade school in Haiti, advancing the larger vision and mission for a values-driven family.

Keith’s early years as a mountain guide in the Ansel Adams Wilderness shaped his approach to wealth advising—seeing it as a journey of navigating complexity, fostering resilience, and reaching meaningful summits together.

Keith holds a bachelor’s degree from Westmont College, a master’s in theology and philosophy, and completed PhD-level research on global philanthropy at the University of Wales and Oxford Centre for Ministry Studies. He also completed the Executive Program in Social Entrepreneurship at Stanford Graduate School of Business and is currently pursuing a Certified Financial Planner™ designation and a certificate in commercial real estate investment. He is a member of the Independent Trustee Alliance and plans to join the Professional Fiduciary Association of California.

Outside of his professional experience, Keith is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Nation (Piikani), serves as Treasurer of Trinity Episcopal Church, President of Harding University Partnership School’s Site Council, and an active youth soccer coach and referee in Santa Barbara.

When he isn’t at the office, Keith enjoys adventuring with his wife and two daughters, woodworking, riding motorcycles, or playing soccer
