Founder and Professional Trustee
Kiah Jordan is the founder and president of Impact Family Office, a Santa Barbara–based firm he established in 2016 to provide independent trustee and family office services to individuals, families, trusts, and private foundations. As a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary, Kiah serves personally as a professional trustee and has been selected by dozens of families to serve in current and successor fiduciary roles.
Kiah’s work focuses on the thoughtful stewardship of multigenerational wealth. He helps families navigate complex trusts, succession and estate transitions, family governance, philanthropic engagement, and the responsibilities that accompany significant financial resources. Through Impact Family Office, he has built a multidisciplinary team that provides the accounting, administration, reporting, planning, and professional coordination necessary to support families and beneficiaries over many years.
Central to Kiah’s work is the conviction that stewardship extends beyond financial performance. He encourages families to consider how their values are reflected in their decision-making, relationships, philanthropy, business interests, estate plans, and use of capital. His approach combines the independence and personal accountability of an individual trustee with the professional infrastructure of an established family office.
Before founding Impact Family Office, Kiah worked in real estate investment and family office services. Those experiences led him to pursue a more integrated approach to financial planning, fiduciary leadership, and family decision-making. He holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification, the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation, and the Accredited Estate Planner® designation. He is also a National Certified Guardian through the Center for Guardianship Certification and a licensed Professional Fiduciary through the California Professional Fiduciaries Bureau.
Kiah graduated from Westmont College with degrees in Economics and Business and in Spanish. He later earned a Master of Science in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He returned to Westmont as an adjunct professor in the college’s Downtown Program, where he taught social entrepreneurship and encouraged students to connect business leadership with service and social impact.
Kiah has devoted much of his professional and volunteer leadership to strengthening organizations that serve the Santa Barbara community. He currently serves as Chair of the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission, as a member of the Board of Directors of The Towbes Foundation, as a Trustee of the Santa Barbara Foundation, and as a board member of Leading From Within. He is also an alumnus of the Katherine Harvey Fellows program and a founding member of the Sustainable Change Alliance. In 2015, he was recognized by the Pacific Coast Business Times as one of the region’s “40 Under 40.”
Professionally, Kiah is active in organizations supporting excellence in estate planning and fiduciary practice, including the Independent Trustee Alliance, the Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council, and the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.
Kiah and his wife are raising four children in Santa Barbara. Outside of his professional and community commitments, he enjoys outdoor adventures with his family and continues to play soccer in a local recreational league.
