Michael Williams
Accounting Manager
Michael was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA and graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. During his time at LMU, Michael was an active member of the Accounting Society, the Men's Club Soccer team, and four distinct honor societies, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, and the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society.
He started his career as an intern at Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt, LLP (HCVT), a Los Angeles based regional public accounting firm specializing in tax, audit, advisory, and business management services. After graduating, he joined HCVT and became a Certified Public Accountant in their tax reporting group with a focus on closely held businesses, high-net worth individuals, and private foundations. From there, Michael transitioned into private industry accounting with Marlin Equity Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in Hermosa Beach, CA. As a part of the Finance & Accounting team at Marlin, he handled several duties including corporate accounting for the management company, portfolio finance for the investment funds, and tax reporting functions for all entities. Most recently, Michael has been working jointly with a start-up founder in launching an online fitness software business. In this role, he oversaw all day-to-day operations of the business, including research & development, implementation of strategic initiatives, and allocation of financial resources.
As Accounting Manager at Impact Family Office, he is responsible for overseeing client accounting services and supports clients with their tax and financial reporting requirements. Michael's prior experience provides a vast framework of knowledge that is uniquely leveraged in providing specialized family office services tailored to each client's needs.
Outside of the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family at the beach, or in the mountains hiking. You will also find him playing a variety of sports including tennis, soccer, and pickleball.
